Similar to the ideology behind nonconformity, the market and filtration system in Manayunk manifests from a series of nonbinaries. Extracting data generated from the fallacies of digital mediums such as Google Earth, both high and low resolutions of the digital geometries were explored in relation to form. Existing profiles of the site were glitched, jittered, and overall manipulated in order to skew the flawed results of Google Earth geometries, resulting in volumetric space that orchestrates existing conditions and digital technologies.
The injection of a secondary program that is atypical of a market - the crude oil filtration machine - begins to question the ability of what a space and program can provide to the public. The application of layered and textured materials embraces the theory behind the nondefined and skewed resolution, resulting in an entropic figure-ground relationship.
